International Projects
Who we help internationally
We aren't just concerned with Chatham-Kent. We know that we live in a hurting world. Rotarians across the globe help to make a difference. Internationally, our club has helped in Haiti, India, Ecuador and Africa.
Sunrise members have administered polio vaccine as part of the effort to eradicate polio in India. They helped change the lives of the ones they touched as well as so many others who will not suffer from Polio.
Sunrise Rotarians have participated in hands on water projects in Guatemala. This helped families live better lives by having clean water and by not having to walk so far for their water.
We are currently working on a Water and Fire Rescue mission in The Gambia, Africa where we will be installing a deep water well to provide clean drinking water to 400 school students and 500 locals residents. Rotarians will be travelling to The Gambia in 2026 to provide hands-on support to the local community of Kuntaur, The Gambia.
Who the Rotary Foundation is Helping
The Rotary Foundation transforms gifts into projects that change lives both close to home and around the world. As the charitable arm of Rotary, we tap into a global network of Rotarians who invest their time, money, and expertise into our priorities, such as eradicating polio and promoting peace. Foundation grants empower Rotarians to approach challenges such as poverty, illiteracy, and malnutrition with sustainable solutions that leave a lasting impact.
Strong financial oversight, a stellar charity rating, and a unique funding model mean that we make the very most of your contribution. Give and become a part of Rotary’s life-changing work!
