On Saturday, May 21 Sunrise Rotarians met at Veterans Tribute Garden to plant hundreds of sunflower seeds of mixed variety.

Park caretaker Leslie Waddell plotted out the planting in strategic locations to highlight the vibrant flower this summer. The sunflowers are intended not only to brighten the Chatham landscape, but to bring attention to the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine as part of the club's Sunflowers for Ukraine initiative.
