Chatham Sunrise Rotarians helped to deliver over $7,000 worth of groceries to Chatham Outreach for Hunger.

Schinkels' Gourmet Meats delivered beef and pork to Outreach for Hunger, including 40 hams donated by Schinkel's Legacy Meats.

Recently Chatham Rotary Sunrise club member Roger McRae approached fellow club member John Schinkel with the idea of acquiring and providing Chatham Outreach for Hunger with a supply of groceries.

Chatham Outreach for Hunger's mission is to provide food free of charge or obligation to families in need.

Roger was able to coordinate the necessary fundraising with the club on short notice and we were able to provide the organization with over $7,000 worth of food. This includes much generosity from Schinkels' Gourmet Meats and Schinkels' Legacy (who donated 40 hams), as well as club member Margaret Campbell (who donated $500 worth of Cheerios).

Outreach for Hunger Executive Director Brenda LeClair will be attending the March 15th club breakfast meeting at Smitty's restaurant for a formal presentation.
