It is one of the most beautiful compensations of this life that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself.   Ralph Waldo Emerson

On a daily basis, life presents us with choices.  For most of us in North America and other developed areas of the world, the everyday options generally center on the mundane (What to wear, what to eat, what’s on at 8:00?)  On occasion, some of us will be placed in a position that demands an ethical decision (Do I tell them they only charged me for 1, not 2? Do I stay faithful to my partner? Do I lie on my resume?).  For Rotarians around the world, still another question has been confronted, a question that takes one out of their private universe and into the world around them;  “Do I choose to help other, both near and afar, who I know to be in need?  People whose daily choices are often centered on the question of survival itself?” For Rotarians past and present, the answer has been “yes.”

The same is true for those of the Rotary Club of Chatham Sunrise.  Our membership represents some of the best of the business/professional community of Chatham-Kent, and the dedication that they bring to providing help both locally and around the world is typical of the type of individual that our club attracts.

Being a part of Rotary is more than just the opportunity for service to those less fortunate.  Besides providing a challenging and rewarding opportunity to helping others, our weekly meetings are programmed to be educational, interesting and most importantly, fun.  Moreover, membership is the Rotary Club of Chatham Sunrise allows the business professional the chance to develop new friendships and contacts within the industries of our community.  It is a unique combination, and an appealing one to many.

If service to others, making new friends and being a part of a world wide organization making a real difference throughout the world sounds interesting to you, please feel free to contact us.
