Audrey Chevalier - District 6380 Welcomes the Turkey Friendship Exchange from District #2440. Seven team members will arrive in Chatham-Kent on Saturday June 12, 2010. They will be visiting Niagara Falls on June 13, 2010. Touring Chatham-Kent on June 14, 2010. Attending Chatham Sunrise Rotary meeting on June 15, 2010 and will do a formal presentation. 

Help is needed to make hosting  this team a success: Someone to pick up one couple at Detroit Airport on June 12th at 20:57.  A driver for a 12 passenger van on June 14th from around 9:00 – 5:00

ADG Dave McGuire - needs two more wins from the Chicago Black Hawks to make him happy.

           


 

Club Assembly:

ADG Dave is visiting to introduce his successor – Brian McDonald for ADG of our Club Brian is a Member of the Tilbury Rotary Club where he joined in 1993.  He’s currently on the District’s Finance Committee & a local accountant in Tilbury & Chatham.

Rotary River Ride is going to happen June 12.   Send a message to Bonny if you can volunteer some time.   This event will go, rain or shine.   Registration starts 8:30am.

Terra reminds us to register at www.chathamribfest.com if you wish to volunteer for Ribfest.   There will be no Rotary Food booth or raffle.  But there are lots of other jobs to fill.  Reminder that you must be 19 & have Smart Serve to work in the tents.   Welcome to Robin Dieleman, one of our students helping out.

Matt made a little reminder that Ribfest time is quickly approaching. Quotes are coming in & expenses are in line.  There’s already 100 people form Union Gas coming for the Corporate Luncheon & Games hosted by Employers Edge.

Laurie is in quick need to fill the first Host Family for our in-bound exchange, Luka from Croatia.   John Schinkel’s family & Angela Marion’s home will be Host for the 2nd & 3rd sessions.   Please see or contact Laurie if you have any ideas.

General discussion of Meeting venues. Thank you to everyone who participated in Today’s Discussion as well as in the on-line survey. We are keeping the survey live until Thursday June 3.  We value your time & your  opinions, if you haven’t sent in your Thoughts yet.   FYI that all responses are anonymous.

As all members are aware, BINGO's are one of our best fund raisers and we need members to help out. The fellowship is a wonderful added bonus.  Please do your part to help by volunteering yourself during one or more of the following time frames.

JULY                30   - (Friday)           12:00am  midnight              -  Greg Kett, Linda Goldsmith, Bonny Pigeon
AUGUST          20   - (Friday)             6:00pm  and  7:00pm

You need to be there one hour and fifteen minutes before the start time.  Remember you are awarded 3 make-ups for a regular bingo and one midnight bingo equals 5 make-ups.
