 Happy Bucks:


John is happy because he has been getting many compliments on the pear trees and how nice they look with their leaves.

 

 

 

Kim is happy that everything went well with Matt and Emily at Performance and wants everyone to know if they would like her to keep track of your weights to email her.  She also wants everyone to know that even though we are training at the women’s gym men are allowed to attend as long as they go through the back door.

 

Jackie is happy that the Canadian Cowgirls rode with exceptional riders at a show in Massachusetts.  It was a very emotional day for all who partook in the drills.

 

 

 

Jim is happy that Kim admitted she was stepping on the scale during his weigh-in.

 

Brad is happy that they will be receiving approval on Thursday for the Canadian Association for Gift Planners.

 

 

 

Audrey is happy about the implementation of new district training for new members or anyone who would like to become leaders.  Our district will host a training session in August.

 

 Birthdays and Anniversaries:


  John Lawrence is celebrating his club anniversary on November 21.

 Club Business:


 There will be a board meeting at Enviroshakes on Monday at 4:30.  There will be a Ribfest to follow.

 Everyone is reminded to bring in food donations over the next couple of weeks.

 Everyone is also reminded to bring in toys.

 Greg was contacted by Lenore Merritt (from the Goodfellows) regarding our club helping out with their daytime campaign this year. Last year Greg covered a shift for President Jim at Tim Horton's on Kiel Drive. She asked if we would help again this year (Greg will be helping out on Dec 11 from 2-4). Shifts are Dec. 11 & 12 from 9:30 to 8:00 on Friday & 9:30 to 4:00 on Saturday. Please call Lenore directly at 519-354-2439 & be sure to tell her you are from Chatham Sunrise Rotary.  P,S. Speaker Today:       Ashley White assisted by Nicole Gignac  - The Olympic Torch


Ashley White, municipal special event coordinator gave a presentation regarding the Olympic Torch Run Celebration.

The Olympic torch is coming to Chatham-Kent!  A task force have been organized and has been planning the historic event.  The flame will be passing through a number of communities on December 22, 23, and 24. The route is as follows:

 

   December 22, 2009 @ 5 pm : Ridgetown

  December 22, 2009 @ 5:30 pm : Blenheim

  December 22, 2009 @ 6:15 pm : Chatham

  December 23, 2009 @ 6:30 am : Chatham – Civic Centre

  December 23, 2009 @ 7:30 am : North Buxton

  December 23, 2009 @ 8 am : Tilbury

  December 24, 2009 @ 8:30 am : Walpole Island

  December 24, 2009 @ 9 am : Wallaceburg

On December 22, 2009 the Municipality is hosting a free large-scale public event to celebrate the Olympic Spirit, our culture, heritage and talents – and to welcome the flame to Chatham – with a special “cauldron lighting ceremony”

CK CELEBRATES THE TORCH! 

Volunteers are needed to help with the celebration. Police checks are mandatory – but are provided FREE of charge, and paperwork is done internally = no trips to the police station!

As all members are aware, BINGO's are one of our best fund raisers and we need members to help out. The fellowship is a wonderful added bonus.  Please do your part to help by volunteering yourself during one or more of the following time frames.

DECEMBER 4       - (Friday)    7:00pm                     -

JANUARY 23         - (Saturday) 7:00pm                    -

FEBRUARY 21      - (Sunday)   6:00pm                     -

You need to be there one hour and fifteen minutes before the start time. Remember you are awarded 3 make-ups for a regular bingo and one midnight bingo equals 5 make-ups.
