Classification:  Terra Kitzul

Jim introduced Terra this morning for her Classification.   We all know & think highly of our Rotarian Terra, as we’ve watched her grow in her career & in her time with Rotary.  We’re proud to know you Terra.

Terra gave a wonderful presentation about her life growing up with Mom & Dad, Terry & Linda & sister Kylie.  Being creative was instilled in both girls as they grew up. Spiro-graph was a favourite!  Terra showed several family photos of her life so far.   She’s completed her education at Carleton University, 5th year for a BA in Architecture & that included a year’s study in England.   She tried Vancouver but returned to Chatham, gathering a position at Jorden & Cook, just up the street from her family’s home.

In her spare time (she’s newly licensed November 2008 after logging 56oo hrs & writing 9 exams), terra enjoy Rotary, going to concerts, making stained glass items & she’s even an in-school mentor for a Little Sister.

Jim Steele introduced Terra to Rotary (we missed you today, Jim!).   Terra’s thankful for meeting us & joining in. She’s made many friends & enjoys the time spent with Rotary.

Blake offered our Thank you to Terra for delivering her Classification. And our thanks to Terra’s family for sharing Terra with us.

Classifications are a wonderful way to get to know another side of us Rotarian.  It’s a great opportunity to share common interests.  We’ve added to the Calendar of Speakers a proposed list of dates for Members, that we wish to hear from this year. Please take a peek & find your name, if you haven’t done your Classification yet.

Contact John if you have a scheduling conflict.    johnschinkel@bellnet.ca

Thought of the Day:

“The sailing of a boat in fair weather is not the best test of seamanship; the maintenance of good cheer when everything is not, is not the best test of disposition; the pursuit of an enemy who is on the run is not the best test of courage.”
