Blake welcomed our guest speaker Shawna Bradshaw to speak on Homeopathy.

Shawna explained that homeopathy is a natural medicine that allows the body to heal itself. The remedies come from plants, animals and minerals. She spoke on natural remedies and her own personal experiences.

Shawna attended the Toronto School of Homeopathic Medicine in Toronto. She works out of her home, in Ridgetown and London. She completes a 2 hour consultation with the client. The consultation allows her to gain information on what the primary issues are with the client.

She explained that a naturalpath is similar to a GP. They practice with a number of modalities. They deal with nutrition, herbology, adjustments, and medications.

Homeopathy is approved by the Ministry of Health. Homeopathy is currently undergoing a regulation process. They look at the body holistically and recommend one safe form of medication. She described a variety of remedies and the origins. She makes some of her own medicines.

There were a number of questions related to her talk.

Linda Goldsmith thanked Shawna for her informative talk and presented a book in her names for the Chatham-Kent Library.
