Guest Speaker:
GSE Australia |
|
Audrey
introduced our guests today,
Rotarian Barry from the
Downtown Club. And one of
the GSE’s, Cheryl Bootsma.
GSE is a Rotary
International project that
sends young professionals to
other countries for 4-6
wks. The team is lead by
Rotarian, hosted by Rotarian
families & their Clubs in
the countries that they
visit. This team visited
Queensland & part of NS
Wales, District 9630
starting off in Brisbane, 13
1/2hrs flight from LA. Wow.
Other
team members were Kristi
Cummings (Mktg), Susanna
Thomashefski (Govt), Katy
Uher (radio) & Cheryl
(Family Services). They
visited many different &
unique parts of the State –
Toowomba, Brisbane, St
George, Chinchilla & along
the Gold Coast – learning
different aspects of the
country, the culture &
their vocations in their
host country.
It
really was “Making Dreams
Real” for them.

Thought of the Day: |
|
“Any fool can make things
bigger, more complex and
more violent. It takes a
touch of genius – and a lot
of courage – to move in the
opposite direction.”
Albert Einstein. |
