Guest Speaker:  Kyla Reid

Jim introduced Kyla today who is the Dairy Coordinator for the Chatham-Kent area, supported by Dairy Farmers of Ontario & the local producers.

Kyla runs an elementary school program, promoting dairy to our young people.  Quite often they know nothing more about milk other than how to buy it at the grocery store or at Mac’s.

Through a variety of tools & samples, she talks about the milk industry – careers, technology in the barn, the product from cow to a finished product, farming practices for a better environment, animal care & conservation efforts, to name a few topics.

We enjoy one of the world’s most stringent regulations of the milk production cycle.

Drink milk!

A very interesting topic, Kyla.    Jim thanked her with a book for the Literary Angels program.
