 Happy Bucks:

Ivan is happy for Canada’s “5 GOLD” hockey Juniors.   Great to see such national pride

Jim was happy to Angelo Esposito – his determination in making the team & on the ice, sets an example for all of us!

 50/50 Draw:

The Pot’s at $240ish & Jim Steele pulled an ace.  Its value, once suitably argued was $10!

Our Condolences to Heather Bondy:

Paul forwarded a Message from Heather Bondy.   We look forward to her return & extend our sincere condolences to Heather & her family.

A donation will be forwarded to Rotary International Foundation, in Allen’s memory.

Club Business:

Mardi Gras is Feb 20, fast approaching. John is organizing the auction items & you can give them to Doug for storage until then.

Ribfest Steering committee to meet shortly, after today’s meeting.

January 20 will be Club Assembly.  Following brief reports, there will be a Work Meeting for the Ribfest.

Quarterly invoices were circulated today & you’ll find the Membership Directory attached.  Please contact Steve Sadler or Sheila, if you need a reminder of the login & password.  It’s posted on the Members Tab of our site.

Bonny circulated a banner & a Club Directory, sent from Rima, last year’s Ambassadorial Scholar from Lebanon.

Jim presented our $500 cheque to Barb Smith, for the Junior Achievement efforts in Chatham Kent.   Barb mentioned that JA in Chatham has amalgamated in July 2008 with Sarnia.    It has helped in expanding in their programs, which means reaching more kids, all good things!  We wish Barb & JA continued success.

Note that Chatham will host the Region’s Head Office for JA, as they have plans to re-open the Windsor offices.  And all funds raised in Chatham-Kent will remain in Chatham-Kent programming.

Greg Kett also received a cheque for $500, for the 2 new beds at Riverview Gardens.  Greg’s sent us some photos. We look forward to this project coming to life this spring as seen below.

This gives us a good idea of the construction of the planters.
