Blake is happy to be with us, as he fell from his combine yesterday & luckily only tore the back pocket off his jeans.

Keith is happy that Blake’s not wearing those jeans for us today……

 Upcoming Event/Promotional:

 

Charles mentioned the upcoming Annual Banquet, organized by the Downtown Rotary Club. Guest speaker is Paul Gipe, an expert on wind turbines, from California. Tickets are available, $50 a person with a $23 tax receipt. Bar opens at 5:30pm, dinner at 7pm & program begins around 8:15pm.   Charles left some tickets – contact Sheila if you’d like to speak for some.

                

 

 

 

 Club Business:
 

Sportsmen Weekend tickets – “git ‘er done!”      Duck hunt dates will be 14/15 of Nov. Muskie fishing with option of Oct 24/25 08 weekend or a date in spring 2009.  We are very grateful to Jules Roy for his participation & support of this fundraiser for our Club.

A copy of Jim’s letter of support for the Capital Theatre project was circulated.

Bonny has details of a mtg planned for Oct 15, at the Children’s Safety Village.  They are proposing a multi-club fundraising project.  Details to be returned to the Club.

 

PROGRAM TODAY - "Visioning Session"

 

Watch for a future announcement of the directional statements that we reached, following our discussion.  Themes of what the Rotary Club of Chatham Sunrise is all about:

  • Youth in our community
  • Health in our community
  • The environment
  • & our literacy efforts.

As all members are aware, BINGO's are one of our best fund raisers and we need members to help out. The fellowship is a wonderful added bonus.  Please do your part to help by volunteering yourself during one or more of the following time frames.

DECEMBER 11    -  (Thursday 6:00 and 7:00PM)

You need to be there one hour and fifteen minutes before the start time. Remember you are awarded 3 make-ups for a regular bingo.
