Keith got a call from Mirka a former exchange student. She was working out in B.C. with her boyfriend.

She is travelling  east and may stop in for a visit if she can figure out her transportation.

 

 

 

 

Kim: the GSE Team has picked Barry Fraser to lead the team to Australia. There are 5 applicants from Chatham-Kent interested in becoming team members.

 

 

 

 

Sheila’s son Owen is home after surgery. She spent 3 nights camping out at the Chatham-Kent Health alliance. Sheila also needs someone to help with the pictures at the rotary meetings.

 

 

 

Roger’s wife Gloria will be celebrating her 50th birthday this Saturday.

Audrey spent time in Sandusky and Victoria B.C. at Zone meetings. She is also going through training as a District Trainer. She gave Blake an "Ask Me About Rotary" necklace.

 

 

 

 

 

Richard’s daughter is travelling in Italy. It is nice because he stays connected through the internet everyday.

Bonnie Pigeon noted applications for short term and one year outbound exchange students need to be in by October.

Harry Verhey is recovering from knee surgery.

Committee structures and year to date budget were circulated.

Ruth Howell is going to be asked to become an Associate Member of Rotary sunrise.

The Downtown Club has moved to the Wheels. They are looking for host families for their students. Anyone interested contact Paul Maynard.

The club approved $500 for the Canadian cowgirls. They are the only organization in Canada with this purpose. It costs approximately $93,000 per year for this activity.

 

  

Club Assembly:


The charts from the visioning session held in the spring were reviewed as a point of reference for club activities and planning.

Sportsmen’ Weekend:

The early bird draws were held for the Detroit Lions tickets and a round of golf at Maple city golf club and free tickets.

As all members are aware, BINGO's are one of our best fund raisers and we need members to help out. The fellowship is a wonderful added bonus.  Please do your part to help by volunteering yourself during one or more of the following time frames.
