Guest Speaker - Tom Kerr

Heather Bondy introduced our guest, Tom Kerr today.   Tom is a farmer with 800+ acres in the Dresden area.  He’s a former VP for IBM, a published author & a local historian.     Tom happens to be a cousin to Bob & Moira Kerr, members of the Downtown Club. His great great grandfather was John McGregor, a captain in the War of 1812 & of local MacGregor Creek fame.

Tom gave a lively story that started back in 1615 with the first peoples to the area – the Attawandaron Nation.   He traveled through the years mentioning local families & locations familiar to those in the room.

Keith thanked Mr Kerr for visiting.   It was neat to hear about the legitimate McRae family…..And isn’t it odd to know now that only people of good standing received the free hemp seeds…..”       A Book called “Earth’s Cycles” was signed for the Literary Angels program.
